If I could give zero stars I would went in the store to look for kids Carthart cloths about 2 months ago. There was a sign above that clearly stated 10% off kids carthart. When asked the cashier about this he was rude and could barely hear me because of earbuds in his ears. I was shocked at the sickening treatment I received by this person. I will never step foot in that tractor supply again. Shame on you for not taking signs down and trying to mislead people that enter your establishment.

I went there to buy work jeans prices were great but the dressing room was a mess stickers and clothes everywhere so I told the girl at register "you have 5 employees standing around bullshitting not doing nothing Noone in store on a Sunday and it looks like that? Smh

I remember when I heard tractor supply was coming to Naugatuck I thought to myself I can’t imagine I will need to visit there often, I was incredibly wrong. I go to tractor supply every other week for my suet, sunflower hearts and Nyjer bird seed. Their bird feeding section rivals some pretty decent Agways. I also take regular advantage of their dog wash station that is a great deal at about $10. I also buy some work clothes, tools, yard ornaments and home decorations. Prices are pretty good to great when there is sales. The staff is always extremely helpful. I really like the Naugatuck Tractor Supply. I even like to introduce folks that wouldn’t otherwise ever visit the store as evidenced in the picture of my friend trying on hats.

This will be a long review.

I purchased a sun dolphin Jon Boat from the store in Naugatuck. I asked while I was there if there was any paperwork I needed to prove it’s mine and that I intended to register the boat so I can put a motor on it.

I was guaranteed that all I needed was the receipt to register it. It seemed odd. But I accepted it. A few days later I called and asked to speak to a manager. The manager confirmed that there was no additional paperwork needed.

I made my appt with DMV to register the boat. The next appt was 15 days later. I took it.

I arrived at DMV and they turned me away at the counter because I didn’t have the certificate of origin. I explained the whole story about calling and they didnt want to hear it. DMV explained it is 100% required to have this document and without it I can’t register the boat.

I called tractor supply to explain. They didn’t want to hear it. Got on the phone with a manager and she told me “I don’t know what to tell you. Try calling sun dolphin directly”.

My response was respectful. “Ma’am I bought the product from you. A licensed dealer for that product. Why should I be the one to contact them?”

Her response “because I’m not the one trying to register your boat.” Now that’s some customer service. I’m sure the store is very lucky to have this gem working for them.

It was quite obvious at this point that they weren’t going to help me and couldn’t even be bothered to look into the situation for me. Lesson learned. I won’t be back to that store again. For any reason.

I called the Newtown CT store. The employee Joy answered and was IMMEDIATELY going out of her way to help me. She was asking other employees what ppwk I needed and trying to see if they had any in the store for me to use. They didn’t have it. I thought it was a dead end. Until
She offered to call her help support line and call me back. In 15 minutes she called me back. She had contacted the dealer, explained the situation, and had them email the certificates I would need. AMAZING!

We both thought I had everything I needed. I went to DMV and they quickly informed me that there was a 2nd page needed and that IT HAD TO BE NOTARIZED.

I asked how on earth I’m supposed to make that happen considering both parties need to be in front of the notary for them to notarize… DMV told me it was my problem and tractor supply should figure it out.

I went back to the newtown store to explain. Joy’s shift was over and I was referred to Bill. Bill was also immediately helpful. We found a bank down the street and Bill came with me to get it notarized. I couldn’t believe how willing and understanding he was about my situation.

Down the street we went. The bank notarized and I went back to DMV to finally register my plastic Jon boat…….

Bottom line: Naugatuck will never have my business again. They were rude, dismissive, and WRONG the entire time.

I cannot thank Joy and Bill from Newtown enough. They helped me through a nightmare encounter at DMV and I am truly grateful for their empathy, humanity, and willingness to help!

Was greeted with enthusiasm! My first time here. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I love the extended pet section. They have something for everyone here. Dog wash stations! Are you kidding me? I LOVE it!
